Docs Site is a lightweight, self-hosted help center for indie devs, small studios, and communities who need a real place to document their games, apps, bots, and tools — without paying for a SaaS platform or wrestling with a bloated CMS. Drop it on any PHP/MySQL host and you've got a clean, searchable knowledge base with an admin dashboard, in minutes.

What it does

Organize your docs into products and categories, write articles in Markdown with a live-preview editor, and let people find what they need with built-in search and clean, human-readable URLs like /your-product/getting-started.

Pretty, shareable links — every category and article gets a clean URL you control, and every heading gets an auto-generated anchor link so you can point people straight to the answer.
Markdown authoring — a built-in live-preview editor (no external services, nothing to configure) supports headings, tables, code blocks, lists, and images.
Light & dark theme — built in from the start, remembers each visitor's choice, and matches their system preference on first visit.
Search — a fast search bar surfaces the right article as people type their question.
"Was this helpful?" feedback — collect a quick yes/no on every article to see what's working and what needs a rewrite.

Why it's different
